Kid Amnesiae also includes isolated string tracks from "How to Disappear Completely" and " Pyramid Song". "Pulk/Pull (True Love Waits Version)" combines the electronic track "Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors" with vocals from " True Love Waits", a song Radiohead did not complete until 2016 Radiohead originally created "Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors" from a version of "True Love Waits" recorded in the OK Computer sessions.
"Like Spinning Plates ('Why Us'? Version)" combines the electronic song "Like Spinning Plates" with a live arrangement performed by Yorke on piano. It appears on Kid Amnesiae as a solo acoustic guitar performance by Yorke, with a "soaring" chorus and references to Margaret Thatcher. Yorke and guitarist Jonny Greenwood performed a rearranged version in 2017. "Follow Me Around" first appeared in the 1998 documentary Meeting People Is Easy Rolling Stone described it as one of singer Thom Yorke's darkest songs, with lyrics about "shadowy figures lurking in corners". "If You Say the Word" features "delicate" fingerpicking, a "foreboding groove", "chiming" percussion and ondes Martenot.

Kid A Mnesia contains the albums Kid A and Amnesiac, plus a third disc, Kid Amnesiae, comprising previously unreleased material from the Kid A and Amnesiac recording sessions. Kid A was ranked at number 20 in the 2020 edition of Rolling Stone's " 500 Greatest Albums of All Time" list, and Amnesiac at number 320 in the 2012 edition. At the turn of the decade, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and the Times ranked Kid A the greatest album of the 2000s. The albums divided fans and critics, but later attracted wide acclaim. Radiohead considered releasing the work as a double album, but felt the material was too dense. Departing from Radiohead's earlier guitar-led sound, the albums featured more diverse instrumentation, including the ondes Martenot, programmed electronic beats, strings, and jazz horns. Radiohead and producer Nigel Godrich recorded Kid A and Amnesiac simultaneously in 19 in studios in Paris, Copenhagen, Gloucester and Oxford.
